TikTok, WeChat, ShareIt, Cam Scanner, UC Browser with a total of 59 Chinese apps got banned by the Indian government, on Monday. (Reference: Economic Times, Times of India)The IT minister Ravishankar Prasad says that this measure has been taken into consideration to maintain unity, security, and democracy of our nation. Also, through this step, we can ensure the privacy and data security of all the Indian citizens. Under the jurisdiction of 69 A, this act had been taken in place in order to maintain national security.
The Ladakh incident took place a few days back at the Indo-China borders, where this step was quite expected and the most demanding by almost all the people in India. Since then, a boycott movement has already started spreading like a wildfire across the social media platforms. And the demand got justified when yesterday the ban on the Chinese apps was announced by the Indian government.

- The Internet Service Providers (ISP) are informed by the government not to supply data to run those 59 apps on any devices.
This was an expected announcement by the government, especially when the citizens were already demanding it. But on the other hand, Indians who have been working in these app companies are in trouble now. The nation also has been demanding the boycott of all Chinese products, and if that happens- there will be a lot more people and Indian companies face it big time. But the government has not declared anything about banning Chinese products. Our PM Modi is supposed to convey his message to the Indian citizens, today on Tuesday. So everyone is eagerly waiting to hear from him.
